  i fail to see why people such as alice in wonderland, bane and others, are regularly singled out as tolls.

  demands are repeatedly made that they are shunned and thrown off the forum; while people like perry, who rant on with pages of controversial drivel, are considered acceptable?.

  i personaly don't view any of them as trolls, just people who feel a need to stand up for what they believe.

  Without having read any of the preceding posts, my immediate thought when reading the title was - "Why would anyone openly admit to stand up for and defend anything about jws, and thus identifying oneself as a complete and utter fool irrespective of when or where it may occur".

  mine's was, if your job interfere with the meetings you have to decide who you will choose,.

  serving jehovah or serving man, if anyone knew my needs it most definitely was jehovah.

  and he knew i needed my job to eat.

  yeah so in genesis we read how people began building a tower which would reach up to jehovah in heaven....must have been damn tall....rather then just stop them, god changes everyones language.....one guys speakin french.....another speakin russian and so on!

  can't finish the tower now can they!!

  this is not very scientific......does anyone believe this is how languages got started???

  District Conventions: The Single People/Wanna Be Married Opportunity

  as the conventions started today in my home state, i can't help but think of the hundreds of jw young people that i know who are still single, esp those over 25. it's really sad that for so many this is their only chance of finding somebody to date.

  some that i know have even crossed over into their 30's, and they go year after year, always talking about the possibility of meeting someone special.. the organization literally controls their minds, and dating and marriage to a non-jw is out of the question.

  it's so sad that so many have missed out on their life's dreams of having a family and companionship.

  As a chronic meeting misser in my last days (see, I really was living in the 'last days') of the cult, I do not recall anyone ever asking me that question, and, as there is absolutely no chance of ever being asked that question in the future, the best I can only do is surmise what my response would be, and, all I can up with, based on my experience with those idiots is -

  "Do you really care? Well, I don't, and it's none of your business - so just piss off!"

  Cheeses. The loving one - not to be confused with that other bastard.

  Baptised December 1974. Ceased field service activities November 1988. Gradually stopped all other activities (I just didn't realise how big an influence the WT article "Are you affected by gradualism?" or some such nonsense, had an impact on me) to the point where I formally disassociated in the early '90s (the actual date is still a matter of interest and inquiry by me to the local congo.

  Secondly I consider myself an ex-jw, but firstly, and more importantly, I would like to be considered by the jws to be a vile, hostile, mega apostate. Such a thought brings me great satisfaction.

  Cheeses. One life. Live it. And may the jws drown in their own scum.
